principles are grounded in research on best-practices in literacy
instruction, and are meant to serve as the underlying foundation for
making all curricular and instructional decisions with regards to
literacy in the district.
Enduring Understandings and Essential Questions for Literacy
The
enduring understandings in this link are statements that summarize the
important ideas and core processes that are central to our preK-12
literacy programming and have lasting value beyond the classroom. These
understandings synthesize what students should understand—not just know
or do—as a result of being a student in the Farmington Public Schools.
