Farmington Community Education Gearing up for Dew Days June 12-16

Farmington Community Education has been planning activities and events to compliment the annual Farmington Dew Days celebration planned for June 12-16.

 Farmington Community Education’s events are listed below. All events are free, though pre-registration is required for the Out of this World STEM night and Mike Lynch- MN Star Watch Program.

Tuesday, June 12:   Meet at the Park!   9:30-11:30 am

Meet with ECFE and the Farmington Library!  Featuring the Roe Family Singers
Rambling River Park    FREE ADMISSION

There will be activities, projects, art, stories and more geared for children ages birth to grade 3.
The Roe Family Singers will be performing old-time hillbilly music to entertain the entire family.
Parents are required to stay and supervise their children throughout the morning.

Thursday, June 14:  Discover an Author Open House   10:30-11am

Join the ECFE Staff and the Farmington Library Staff for a morning of fun. 

For ages 0-6    Free and No registration required. Farmington Library   508 3rd Street, Farmington

Thursday, June 14: Out of this World STEM Night 7-9 pm 

Come enjoy a stellar, family activity night at Meadowview Elementary and participate in STEM challenges related to outer space! Come gaze at the constellations in the Bell Museum’s Explora Dome and view a special Zoom show. Some other fun activities include straw rockets, marshmallow constellations, and many other preK to grade 5 activities! Free with Pre-registration required at www.farmingtonCE.com or by calling (651) 460- 3200.

9:15-11:30 pm– Mike Lynch– MN Star Watch Program

This event is held after the program above and will be located on the West side of MVES in the parking lot. Dress for the night air. Free with Pre-registration required at www.farmingtonCE.com or by calling (651) 460-3200.

June 12-15: Open Swim at Dodge Middle School Pool     1-3:30 pm

Wear your Dew Days Button when you come to the pool and receive $3.00 off a $5 admission. Dew Days Buttons are available now at various business located throughout Farmington.

The DMS pool is OPEN RAIN OR SHINE and is located at 4200 208th Street W. in Farmington.
